St. Vinnie's Food Pantry:  We take the #4 bus or organize a day for people with cars to provide rides and volunteer at the Food Pantry.  We typically go on Friday & Saturdays but individual volunteering is available and easily accessible all week.  Hours of operation for the St. Vinnie's Food Pantry
Monday, Tuesday & Friday 11am-3pm; Thursday 3pm-7pm, Saturday 10am-noon.

St. Vinnie's meets as a chapter in the lower commons of St. Paul's on Monday evenings at 7:00pm excluding the last Monday of the month when we head to Port St. Vincent's at 7:30pm.  This takes the place of our regular meeting.  Our meetings strive to incorporate a meaningful spiritual element of contemplation and reflection to our serviceable action, and does so with the help of our unique "Vincentian" heritage and culture.

Springtime Drive:  The Spring Dorm-Apartment Move Out Drive is an end of the School-year tradition for the St. Paul's Conference.  At select apartment buildings and most of the UW-Madison Dorms, and a few possible other locations, the St. Vincent de Paul trucks drop off big blue barrels in the lobbies to collect donations from students who are pitching things as they prepare for the move back home.  It should be emphasized that we only collect decent materials: unstained, prewashed clothing, unopened, non-perishable food items, and furniture that is in relatively good condition without major broken pieces and scratches, stains or scars.

Every year we need a group of 5-15 volunteers to help pass out advertisement flyers around the campus locations to be served-we know from past experience that the more flyers that are passed out, the more successful each drive will be.  Consider donating your time, contact svdpstpaulsucc@gmail.com.

Summertime Drive
Each August the leases to thousands of student apartments and living arrangements change over, leaving the streets full of perfectly good materials due to the chaotic rush of a concentrated mass move-out.  The trucks which St. Vincent de Paul places at Mill Street and Regent, and Holy Redeemer Parish on Gorham Street, in conjunction with a truck donated to the purpose by the people of Goodwill, Inc., help to alleviate the brunt of this problem by offering students a place to donate their unopened, non-perishable food items, as well as the good quality clothing and furniture (no rips, or tears, or stains or broken pieces or scratches) instead of throwing it all out.  This brings in a sizeable number of Student and Community volunteers in order to make it work.

We need about 5-15 volunteer for posting fliers around the downtown area-we know from experience that the more volunteers we have the more successful each drive can become.  And we need about 100 volunteers to comfortable staff both of our trucking locations-we get by with less, but more is definitely the merrier as the busy days go by.  Please consider donating your time; contact svdpstpaulsucc@gmail.com.
